Bryan Collons: Principal / Structural Engineer

With a Masters degree in Civil Engineering from Washtington State University, Bryan entered the profession in 1987.  Upon graduation he went to work for The Boeing Company.  In 1990  Bryan joined The Austin Company in Renton, Washington where he learned design and field supervision of major steel-framed building projects. 

In 1998 he joined Coughlin Porter Lundeen, where he designed post-tensioned concrete structures.  Building on this experience, he went over to the construction side of the business in 2001 to work for the post-tensioned cable supplier, PTC Incorporated in Everett, Washington.  Since then, Bryan has designed and / or detailed more than 14 million square-feet of post-tensioned slab.

In 2003 Bryan founded Collons Engineering in Renton, Washington where he provided structural engineering and cable detailng services to clients in Washington, Oregon and California.  

In 2005 he teamed up with John Smith to form Collons + Smith Structural Engineers, which is devoted 100% to the engineering design of building structures for developers, architects, building owners and contractors.
